Museum of Contemporaneity

In the near future Zagreb is supposed to get a new Croatian history museum. The old museum should be moved to the neorenaissance palace in the Down Town, which used to be a tobacco factory.

Next to this monumental (soon to be Museum) palace, new “high tech” headquarters of one of the largest Croatian corporations are being built. And yes, investors who are building the office block are the ones financing the revitalization of the palace, museum.

While the works on the new building are in progress, old factory is waiting its turn. Its street windows, whilst waiting to unsold Croatian history, are genuine witnesses of Croatian contemporaneity.
